Schedule Template FAQ

Can I have more than one template?

  • Yes. You can create as many named templates as you need — one for each day of the week, different templates for different seasons, or whatever works for your program.

What happens to existing schedules when I load a template?

  • Existing unbilled schedules for the selected dates are replaced with the template. Billed schedules are never overridden.

Can I load a template onto multiple dates at once?

  • Yes. When loading a template, click as many individual dates as you need on the calendar before clicking Import. All selected dates will receive the same template.

What if a child in my template is no longer enrolled?

  • The template still holds that person’s record. When you load the template, an occurrence will be created for them regardless of current enrollment status. Review your templates periodically if your roster changes significantly.

Does loading a template affect my business hours?

  • Only if the template has custom hours set (i.e. “Use default hours” is unchecked). In that case, a single-day hours override is applied to each selected date. If the template uses default hours, your existing hours for those dates are untouched.

Can I edit a template after loading it onto a date?

  • Yes. Editing a template only changes the template itself — it has no effect on dates that have already been loaded. Each load is a one-time copy operation.

Can I save a template from a date that has billed occurrences?

  • Yes. Saving a current day as a template captures all occurrences on that date, billed or not. Billing state is only relevant when loading a template, not saving one.

What’s the difference between Business Hours and Children Hours?

  • Business Hours define when your facility is open — the full operating window shown on the scheduler. Children Hours define the window during which children can be scheduled to arrive and depart. Children Hours must fall within Business Hours.
