Using the Mobile Meal Picker

On a phone, the Meals Served page uses a meal-first layout that is easier to navigate on a small screen.

How it works

Instead of a grid, you see six meal cards — one for each meal type. Each card shows:

  • The meal name
  • How many children have been claimed for that meal
  • A row of colored dots showing the claim mix at a glance

Teal dots indicate meals claimed for taxes. Amber dots indicate meals claimed under a food program. Gray dots indicate meals not yet claimed.

Logging meals

  1. Tap the meal card you want to log — for example, Breakfast.
  2. A list of all children scheduled for that day appears.
  3. For each child, use the dropdown to select TaxesFood Program, or leave it blank if the meal was not served.
  4. Changes save automatically as you go.
  5. Tap Back to return to the meal picker and move on to the next meal.

Tips for faster logging

Log meals right after each meal period while it is fresh. For most providers, Breakfast and Lunch take the most time — tackle those first and work through the remaining meals as the day progresses.

Switching to a different date

Use the left and right arrows at the top of the page to move between days. The meal picker updates immediately when you change the date.
